This has been coming for a long time so I'm sorry for any delay. I've been extremeley busy since June when I posted last so I'm gonna zip through everything since then and get you all up to speed:
-June: Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo was a HUGE success! I broke even on my table and prints my first time out! Got great feedback from the fans and fellow artists at the show and will definetly be coming back for 2012 bigger than ever!
-July: Went to San Diego Comic Con for the first time! Met some creators, pitched a few comic projects hoping for some bites from people, saw some awesome panels, costumes, exclusives, celebrities!
-August: g/f dumped me, creative slump for a while, house search went to sh*t. But life goes on and had to get back to it!
-September: Made a partner ([link]) for a Creator Owned project to pitch to Publishers in the U.S. called "Joshua Black" you can follow us on Facebook at [link] .
-October: Continued plugging away at Sequential samples for my annual trip to Seattle for Emerald City Comic Con, Worked more on Joshua Black, Made my first list of 2012 CCEE prints!
-November: Gotta second/third job at Redd Skull Comics in Calgary which is me being a Funny Book Jockey and PR Representative for the store which you can check out here on Facebook [link] or Twitter [link] .
-December: Too busy on Samples to worry about Christmas. Finalized my 2012 Print list which includes well over 50 new designs! If I can do it all we'll have to wait and see!
-January: Finished the sample pages for Joshua Black. Got sent out for evaluation.
-February: Image chose not to pick up JB but is interested in seeing mine and Martin's work in the future. Got some mixed reactions at Megacon for my artwork but thems the breaks in this buisness!
Now onto today going into March: I got about 10 more sequentials to draw for Seattle and a few panels to clean up before I'm ready for ECCC, If you've seen this past weekend I've posted a few of my penciled work for 2012's Print collection so I'm underway on that. Also once My con season is complete I'm gonna focus on buying my first house and getting all my creator owned projects legally protected and copyrighted so I can pitch to Artists and Publishers without worrying about my ideas being stolen.
Hope everyone is now caught up on my comings and goings So I'll see ya next time
